This article deals with the question of diglossic code-switching in Arabic spoken language and especially learned discourses. I aim to explain rhetorical inherent value will attempt show through a series examples drawn from an Aljazeera episode, how juxtaposition standard colloquial can be vehicle for messages that bear / metaphorical values.
